Can be repeated many times.
Effective for deep scratches

For leather lovers, scratches are part of the "taste" of leather. However, if the scratches are in a conspicuous place or bother you, you need to maintain the leather to eliminate them.
The method Mr. Taniwaki showed us is surprisingly easy and simple. Simply apply cream or lotion to the area around the blemish and then wipe it dry. By repeating this process several times, even deeper wounds can be treated. If the leather is oiled leather with high oil content, simply wiping it dry will remove the scratches.
To prevent scratches from occurring, Taniwaki says, "Regular care with leather cream is the most important thing. Keeping the leather adequately moisturized is the key to preventing scratches.

Aged leather that has aged well has a shocking scratch on it. The scratches are white and stand out, so we want to do something to repair them. The scuff on the bottom corner is also a concern.

Step 1: First, remove the dirt.

Apply cream to the surface with dirt on it, as it may spread the dirt. Use a plastic eraser to remove the dirt by gently moving the eraser without exerting force!

Step 2: Remove the cream once onto a cloth.

Do not apply the cream directly to the leather, but take the cream out onto a cloth. The recommended amount of cream to be used at one time is about the size of a pearl. If the cloth is hard, it may scratch the leather, so prepare a soft cloth.

Step 3: Rub the cream into the cloth

Rub the cream into the cloth with fingertips. This will naturally spread the cream thinly and evenly, preventing uneven application.

Step 4: Apply the cream to the scars

Apply the cream to the wound in a circular motion. When the wound becomes less noticeable, apply the cream to the entire area, including the area around the wound, to blur the unevenness of the color.

Step 5: Apply more oil to deep scratches

For hard scratches, such as corner scratches, it is effective to apply lotion with high oil content. As with the cream, apply the lotion once on a cloth and rub it in before applying.

Step 6: Finish by wiping dry

Wipe dry with a clean cloth to remove excess oil. If the scratches are still visible, apply a thin layer of cream, wipe dry, and repeat this process several times to gradually make them less noticeable.

Step 7.

The large scratches that had been bothering you are now as clean as a magic trick! By applying the cream not only to the scratched area but also to the entire surface, we were able to achieve an even color finish.

Care goods to repair scars

1. Leather cream is indispensable for wound care. genten's original Delicate Cream (55g/¥840) is mainly composed of lanolin, a secretion of sheep's sebum, and has a smooth finish.
2. When applying creams and lotions, use unwanted underwear.
3. An eraser to help remove dirt.
4. For deep wounds, a lotion type with more oil content is effective.

If you apply cream in a sticky manner, it will
cause uneven coloring and stains!

It is easy to think that using a lot of cream will be more effective, but in fact, this is not the case. The rule of thumb when applying cream is to apply it thinly and evenly. It is recommended that a pearl-sized amount of cream be rubbed into the cloth before application.
